Cleaner water starts with something people can actually do.
Map your community. Build your skills. Earn recognition. Open doors. You can map a dumpster area from a lawful location with one photo and three quick questions, share clean-water education, or register interest in a community volunteer team. What happens next: observations are held privately for staff review; you can keep mapping or ask about future volunteer leadership opportunities. Temecula vs. Franklin Race to 500 entries and prize credit are not open yet, and earlier observations do not earn retroactive competition credit. Mapping does not guarantee an award, paid role or job interview. New to community mapping? Start with the free eight-lesson Volunteer Academy. Students can explore service learning and environmental careers.

The creek starts upstream.
Rain that reaches trash can carry pollutants to the storm drain and downstream waterways. Prevention begins at the site.
A public habit can support a physical fix.
Closing the lid helps right now. Community awareness can also help owners find the program, sponsors find participating sites and cities build broader education around stormwater.

The involvement form will route residents, volunteers, community groups and local partners into the right follow-up path.
This volunteer interest form, including field mapping signups, is for adults age 18 or older submitting their own interest. Minors may participate only in school- or guardian-supervised education, subject to staff confirmation of eligibility and permission—not unsupervised field mapping. Do not submit this adult form for a minor. Campus coordinators, parents and guardians: ask about supervised education. No gift cards, jobs, internships or academic credit are guaranteed. Educational recognition is subject to program rules and verification; schools alone decide credit.
