Adopt-A-Dumpster™ is a program of Secure Structure Alliance Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. By using this website, you agree to use it for lawful purposes and understand the limitations below.

Educational information

Information on this website is provided for general program, educational and community-engagement purposes. It is not legal, engineering, tax or regulatory advice.

Compliance

Covered trash areas, inspections and documentation can support good stormwater practices and help properties stay inspection-ready. They do not guarantee compliance. The applicable public agency determines compliance and enforcement.

Maps and site information

Public map information is designed around owner privacy and positive participation. Zone-level counts may be estimates or program records that change as sites are verified. Individual public pins are limited to participating sites that have opted in.

Runoff estimates

Runoff figures are estimates based on enclosure footprint, rainfall and the program’s stated calculation method. They are not laboratory measurements of pollutants, regulatory discharge calculations or guarantees of environmental outcomes.

Sponsorship and recognition

Sponsorship availability, project scope, placement, duration and recognition depend on program inventory, owner participation, funding, approvals and program readiness. Sponsor acknowledgment may include the sponsor’s name, logo, locations, telephone number, website and value-neutral descriptions of products or services. It does not include comparative claims, price information, endorsements or inducements to purchase. Sponsorship fees are fixed by agreement and are not contingent on clicks, traffic, impressions, attendance or other measures of public exposure. Sponsor recognition does not imply endorsement by a city or public agency.

Environmental Impact Certificates

An Adopt-A-Dumpster™ Environmental Impact Certificate is a program-issued impact record backed by available program documentation. It is not a carbon credit, renewable energy credit, regulatory compliance certification or independent third-party assurance unless specifically stated.

Intellectual property

Adopt-A-Dumpster™, Secure Dumpster, StormwaterIQ™ and associated logos, graphics and campaign materials are used by their respective owners or program operators. Website materials may not be copied for commercial use without permission.

Optional text-message communications

Text messaging from Secure Structure Alliance Inc. is optional. You may choose to receive non-marketing messages related to your Adopt-A-Dumpster submission or separately opt in to marketing messages about educational campaigns, events, volunteering, sponsorship and fundraising. Consent to promotional text messages is not a condition of participation or purchase. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel further text messages and HELP for assistance, or contact info@securestructure.org. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Donations are completed only through a secure website checkout, never by replying to a text with payment authorization or card information.
