3 — Safety and Professional Conduct

Adopt-A-Dumpster Inspector Academy cover for Safety and Professional Conduct

Know the boundaries

Stay in lawful and authorized areas. Do not enter locked or fenced enclosures or handle material.

Watch operational traffic

Refuse positions near moving collection vehicles, truck turning areas, loading traffic or unstable surfaces.

Disengage

If anyone objects or the scene becomes risky, leave, document privately and inform your supervisor if necessary.

Practice scenario

A photograph would require standing behind a reversing collection truck. Stop. Choose a safer time or close the observation as unsafe.

Knowledge check

Is completing the assignment worth risking traffic exposure?

Recommended answer: No. Safety takes precedence over any report or metric.

This self-check is educational. It does not issue a certificate, authorization, exam score or continuing education credit.
