INTRODUCTORY INSPECTOR ACADEMY · TOPIC 5 OF 10
5 — Photo Documentation Quality

Context matters
A wide contextual image helps identify what was visible and where. Advanced work may require additional staff-authorized angles.
Keep originals intact
Do not stage, alter or reuse images or invent timestamps. Respect people and incidental private information.
Keep files private
Submitted observation photos are not public by default; staff or approved workflows control review and release.
Practice scenario
A photo shows only a dark patch of pavement and none of the enclosure. It may be unusable; request a clearer safe image rather than assigning a confident meaning.
Knowledge check
Can a blurry photo establish contamination?
Recommended answer: No. Capture truthful context and record uncertainty.
This self-check is educational. It does not issue a certificate, authorization, exam score or continuing education credit.
