From overlooked dumpster to visible clean-water action.
Adopt-A-Dumpster™ connects property owners, community sponsors and local partners around one practical idea: keep rain out of trash areas and keep pollution out of the storm drain.

Close. Cover. Protect.™
Close the lid today. Cover the area when a permanent solution is needed. Protect what is downstream.
Seven simple steps from identification to upkeep.
The public sees positive participation. Owners keep control of their information. Sponsors can support a visible local improvement.
1. Identify
Potential sites are found through mapping, field inspection and local outreach.
2. Map Privately
Unclaimed sites stay private. Neighborhood progress can still be shown in aggregate.
3. Claim
The owner or property manager claims the site for free and confirms the basic information.
4. Sponsor
A community sponsor helps fund the physical improvement and receives appropriate recognition.
5. Cover
The trash area receives the covered solution appropriate for the site.
6. Prove
Before-and-after documentation and site status make the improvement visible and trackable.
7. Maintain
The owner can self-inspect or use StormwaterIQ™ to keep documentation and schedules current.

Public by choice.
Owner names, exact addresses and site photos stay private unless the owner chooses public recognition.
Participation should feel positive, not punitive.
Adopt-A-Dumpster™ is designed to recognize businesses that participate, not shame businesses that have not joined. The public map focuses on progress and opt-in recognition.
Owner opt-in • Private site details • Neighborhood progress
The map is the public window. The documentation stays behind it.
StormwaterIQ™ supports mapping, site records, inspection documentation and ongoing schedules. Adopt-A-Dumpster™ turns that information into a community program people can understand and join.
